What format do I need to send files to you?
InDesign format, versions CS2 - CS3 - CS4

Can I send any other file types?
No. Our system only works from InDesign files.

How do I send the file to you?

You can upload the file using the File Uploaded on the Get Started page

Can I buy the software?

No. Our easy online multi language desktop publishing service does not require any software, training, investment or licence agreements.

Can I convert to just 1 language?

No. Our system is most cost effective when converting your files into 3 or more languages. Therefore we only work on this volume as a minimum.

How do I pay for the service?
When you confirm you are happy with the PDF file version, which shows the look of each language version, we will raise a PayPal Invoice to be paid by Debit/Credit card securely online. Regular and repeat customers can apply for a credit account (subject to clearing credit checking processes).

Can the system handle text in graphics?

No. Although layered images can have text converted.

Can the system handle complicated table and chart formats?
Yes, depending on the complexity of the tables we may supply separate Excel files for the table data to aid translation.

What happens with text expansion?
Translation out of English often expands in volume by 10-25%. If the design has enough white space to accommodate this expansion, then the language will not look overcrowded. - If no white space has been allocated for copy expansion we will advise you with any copy fit issues when reviewing your artwork and provide an additional quote if necessary. The copy can either be reduced in point size or line spacing.

What about word breaks?
As standard we do not break words within the document. However, at the client's request we can auto-hyphenate the InDesign file, when additional costs will apply and will be outlined in the quote supplied after reviewing your artwork.

What about coloured text and fonts?
The MultilanguageDTP system picks up all specific style attributes allocated in the artwork matching fonts, colours, point size and overall appearance of your original design – guaranteed!
